Dominic Shibli - Science

 

I lead the secondary science PGCE course at the University of Hertfordshire after working in schools for the past 20 years. I want to support the use of education research within schools using it to inform decision making and stimulate professional dialogue amongst colleagues.

 

I am fascinated by the work of cognitive scientists like Daniel Willingham who write about memory and how we learn. If we can translate the research into effective classroom practice then we can support all learners by preparing lessons that maximising learning.
