Martin Brown, Headteacher, Hitchin Boys' School

Martin is Headteacher of Hitchin Boys’ School which has gone from Good to Outstanding in 2016. Previously a Senior Leader in London schools, over 17 years Martin has led on many diverse areas including: Teaching & Learning, Data for Self-Evaluation, Assessment, Recording & Reporting, Literacy, SEN, EAL, CPD, Post-16. He is a trained and current Ofsted inspector specialising in 6th Form and MFL and inspects in both Section 8 and Section 5 inspections. He also works for Herts for Learning as a consultant. Martin began his teaching career in Modern Foreign Languages and has always had a deep interest in developing understanding of Teaching and Learning. He is now a National Leader of Education (NLE).
